Had my first ride to work today! Yesterday we had some nice heavy rains and thunderstorms to wash off the roads. More rain in the forcast though... might be a few days for the next ride :angry2:

Hey guys... Is the optional taller windscreen listed on Yamaha's site taller than the stock '05? Part number is ABA-5JW03-00-00. The description doesn't mention a size difference from the stock '05, just the '03 and '04. Thanks for your help.

I wasn't too sure at first either. The biggest thing for me was letting the bike stand up enough to rest on both legs of the stand. For that I got someone to stand on the other side for moral support more than anything. Once it's centered, I stand on the tang with my right foot and pull up...

Yeah... picked up my new '05 a couple weeks ago in Minneapolis with nearly an empty gas tank. Kinda pissed me off too, but I do love the bike!

I've done some searching, but didn't really come up with anything regarding trailering the FJR. I'll be trailering an '05 about 4hrs home next week, and I'm wondering what the best tie down points are, number of straps etc. Any advice about hauling one of these would be greatly appreciated...
