I thought I might get some good feedback from this post was pretty hard to make my final choice. Well now I still have two bikes I will always want after.

Well I have found a real good deal to good to pass up on a 03 ST 1300 so no FJR at this time. Best thing about this deal is it is so good if I don't like the ST I can trade up to the FJR without to big a hit on the wallet.

The smuggler looks really nice they are quite proud of it too

I guess the bikes on my list at this time are the FJR, ST 1300, Sprint GT/ST , and the C14

I know I will be riding solo 100% of the time . So I was wondering are there better choices of bikes for strictly solo riding and do most here ride 2 up at least part of the time or are there a lot of solo riders on the FJR.

I plan to test ride an 08 this weekend hope it handles better

fastpappy What kind of adjustments are you talking about I test rode an 07 FJR and an 09 connie back to back today and as much as I disliked the connie and liked the FJR the connie was the one I was must comfortable with as far as the throttle control went .

OK now that I figured out this is a FI problem many other FI bikes may share I am not as worried now for the test ride

well I am trying to decide if i want a FJR looking at an 07 and an 08 but tou guys have just about scared me off of one wit this thread . Can the problem really be as bad as you make it out to be??
