The service manager is ok with me, I was a nice guy at the Dealership, I made a few faces , paid them , and was handed the
old part. (Since I paid for it) , done deal.
That place was full of flies-salespeople in the showroom,
Top_speed1, it's was a problem, the panel Will Not come off without taking the dash and other parts off . On my 2007 it took
a few mins and a little wiggle, easy to do on the side of the road.
If'n you had purchased two $16,000 + dishwashers from the same vendor, you might maybe have wanted...
Well , I would have fixed it myself if I could, it beat me, I spent 2 hours+ trying to get the dash out. So instead of more frustration
I took it to the dealer, after waiting another 3 weeks plus for Yamaha to deliver the part. (shortage?)
The dealer told me the repair was not covered , I had...
the only road I know of that is posted 85mph is HY 130 toll up to Austin,TX Home of COTA track.
opinions : Dealer said Yamaha should have covered it
repair Tech at Dealer said they should have covered it.
Florida region sales rep said if they had a Tech Exchange on it, they should cover it...
Grizley, I did go to this forum first for Information, read the posts, tried the process, the dash just was not wanting to come out
without bending and maybe breaking. Would you want to break the plastic on a bike with 500 miles on it ?
on my 2007 , I had the complete front end off and all the...
Well "20Valves" , imagine being on the side of the road in the middle of night or out in Utah in the heat on the side of the road,
and trying to get the the main fuse or dead battery. ever been either ? are you sure you had a early 2013 Upper cowl ?
If it takes a Yamaha Tech at the dealer...
Well, I stopped before I broke something. The Yamaha Dealer charged me $121.99 (full list) for the part and 1/2 labor
for $50.00, the tech said it was a pain and it took more that 1/2 hour. Plus Tax, Plus Shop supplies,Ect, $175.79
I made a agreement with Yamaha, I would pay them in full...
Yamaha will not cover the replacement of the top right cowl panel on my 2013 FJR, the dealer charged me
$175 to replace the part. Yamaha has a "TECH Exchange" on the subject # "m2013-013" on
how to cut your old part if you can get it off without breaking something. I talked to the head
office...
Hi, purchased my second FJR1300, 2013 and after the first ride I would like to disconect or
disable the flashing "ECO" light. It's very distracting and I don't care about gas economy and
"I can't drive 55"
Called Yamaha in CA and they said maybe they could ,and would get back to me.
"ECO"...
Well , I looked back though all the parts fiche, and found where the square rubber parts go.
Under the tail luggage rack where it bolts to the frame under the seat.
Still know idea on the round gromet.
Kenny
Well , I can't seem to find where I send you a Email on this site, My
Email is [email protected] , if you would post my photo that would be great.
Thanks Kenny
The round gromet looks like the upper stem one, but it's smaller and won't fit over the stem.
My photos are on my C: drive in a folder.

Anyway I am just now trying...
