Adding a last post in case my update to the first one doesn't get this on to people's new post radar... bike was sold in total earlier today, so I'm bikeless for the first time in over 20 years. Feels weird.

Hey Skooter! Good to be heard! :-) As for stopping riding, life kinda got in the way for about 5 years, and I'd like to move on either to a new bike, or get my shop back for some woodworking I used to do more of. As for the Wilbers... it's yours. PM me a fair price and I'll figure out how...

***UPDATE*** Guy came by today and bought the whole bike, the title has been signed over, $ traded hands, and he loaded it in his truckbed and drove off into the sunset. Probably didn't squeeze every penny out of it, but life is short and I don't really need the money to pay any bills. I hope...

You should, I was following you in Colorado coming off a mountain when you crossed the center line, almost ran into a truck coming the other way, and laid your bike down in the dirt/weeds.  😄

Not sure if anyone remembers me... I was a pretty active member back when this board got started, but according to my account, it looks like my last post was in 2011, so almost 9 years ago.  Lots of memories poking around in some of the areas here... the national meetings, regional meetings...

My personal experience is that my V1 has saved me from at least a dozen potential tickets over the last 5 years, especially on long cross country trips. I agree wholeheartedly that audio is a necessity, and having it plugged into my earphones is just as important. Two situations I haven't seen...

As am I Don, especially since you were going to make the trip from CA... will have to catch you at another event in the future.

As much as it pains me to do it, I'm going to have to pass on this event. I've had some other things come up at home that need to be dealt with in that timeframe. I was really looking forward to it too. Hopefully you'll do it again in some future year that I can attend. I'll be cancelling my...

Got my shirt and sticker ordered yesterday... looking forward to this very much. Got to get my planning done on how many days to take to get up there... and back. Direct route, side excursions, curvy roads along the way... decisions, decisions, decisions.

Kind of surprised that the River Road (FM 170) between Presidio and Terlingua near Big Bend didn't make at least the Honorable Mention... I'd swap that with the Natchez Trace in a heartbeat and never look back.

I've got a bunch of those same pics... including the basin, the canyon, and others, but the FJR in my pics is blue... :D

I think I remember riding to that place with MGM a few years back for a TWT RTE... Might just have to do it.
