    During the Pull

    I was always taught to sauce the meat after pulling if making Carolina Vinegar style like you are. It adds some great flavor and moisture to the pork. Always make additional sauce available on the side for those who want more or to add to slaw. Don't think that there's a right or wrong way...

    EOM 2012

    My GPS estimates the EOM 500 to take a little over 12 hours. I'm guessing more like 16. Seems a little too intense to be fun. Gonna be two up so it's waterfalls for my first EOM.

    Russel Seat order and GenMar risers

    Keep tinkering with it, you'll get it. Just came off a VTX1300C. Killed me when I first bought it. Terrible back pain, couldn't ride for more than an hour. 3" risers, a mustang seat with a back rest and highway pegs fixed it for me. 7300 mile trip this summer with many 12 and 13 hour days...

    Zumo 665 Routes

    Basecamp is not nearly as intuitive as Mapsource but it appears that Mapsource in no longer being supported by Garmin. I just got home from 7300 miles out west and used Basecamp to load routes into the my 665. You will want to go here to find out how to use it...
