I disconnected the plug to the fan motor and connected 12 volts to it and the fan runs. I let the engine run up to 8 bars and hooked a volt meter to wires at the fan plug and had .57 volts, less than 1 volt. I believe my fan relay is bad. The 2 wires leading back from where you disconnect the...

I have a 2007 fjr and think the fan relay has failed. Where is the fan relay located? It seems as if the wires from the fan go towards and under the fuel tank. I don't want to remove tank if the relay is located elsewhere. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone who replied to my problem. I found the switch on the clutch lever to be extremely dirty with grease and grime. I've cleaned it and had no problems since. I've started the bike approximatly 12-15 times since cleaning the switch. I also cleaned the kick stand switch. Thanks again.

I found some moisture in mine and cleaned and dried it. Still have intermitant problem. I'm thinking it my be the button but not convinced yet. Thanks, Don

They don't light but I noticed the check engine and abs lights on when engine is turning over before it starts. They go out immediately when engine starts running. Thanks, Don

2007 fjr, had all updates, had spyder problem, fixed that last year. Now sometimes won't start. Turn ignition on, gauges do their thing with sweeping needles, hit starter button, nothing. Sometimes have to push starter button 3-5 times before engine turns over and when it does it immediately...

Made the formal complaint to NHTSA 10-25-10. Complained to Yamaha national headquarters also.

Hi guys, it's sunday and I went out and tore down the bike. Sure enough it's the spyder #4, wire bare, removed ground prong, cleaned, reinstalled and bike back to normal. I've seen the fix ala brodies wire harness but to fix the yamaha wire harness "bare wire, melted ground plug" is everyone...
