04/Top case adapter plate(info please?)

I have buying many years ago and never use it an adapter plate 5JW-W0720-00 for the top case.

I read Yamaha has replace this with a new part number 5JW-0720-20,because with the previously adapter the top cases broken in the bottom..Is this correct?Must i buy the new adapter plate?The new part number is the 5JW-0720-20?Or something different..?
