Does anyone know if either of these farkles are available yet for the '06's, and what options there are? I can't seem to get any word from my dealer on the top boxes, and want to start touring now now now on this sweet machine.
I saw the post about the H & B top bag, but I'd really like mounting my Givi because a) I have the Maxia with the additional brake light kit that I like the conspicuity of, and B) I already have it, and would rather not spend $500+ more on another top case.
And after reading the posts of the several parking lot drops, I am taking the wisdom learned in hindsight before I have an issue. In fact, I have almost dropped it a couple of times; once when I put my foot down on an oily spot on the steel deck of a local ferry (damn Hardley riders and their crappy bikes, I saw the owner wrenching on it with oil everywhere when I got off the ferry), and once when the peg you push down on the sidestand with caught in my jeans after I put it down. When I pulled my leg back, the sidestand moved back too, and I didn't realize it and almost dropped the damn thing. These bikes are definitely big, and more top-heavy than I'm used to, so I don't want to ruin it.
If anyone can give suggestions for where to watch, and opinions on who makes the sturdiest/ most reliable/ most protective frame sliders, I'd be most appreciative!
