Thanks for the heads up. I just bought the ABS motor along with the metering, and proportioning valves for $162.00. I think my rear proportioning valve is stuck, so its like I bought the 2 valves and got the ABS motor for free. Great deal. :yahoo:

A couple weeks ago there was an auction with "buy now" for the entire brake system (abs). I was tempted to buy it just for the brake pads lol.

So Skooter wanted to know why this bike was being parted out.

I called and talked Bill Tolpa at Tolpa's Auto parts:

He said the bike fell over on its side, and that broke some of the plastic fairing tabs off, and because the bike had full insurance coverage, and the insurance requirements demanded new parts used to repair, the $$$$ amount was such that the bike was totaled.

So it was a little more than a tip over, but not much. I didn't see the plastic fairing damage Bill was describing in the video or pic, but maybe some of you fart smellers can identify/view the exact cause of death. Bill said all mechanical parts are being used, and just a few plastic fairings had to be thrown out because of the broken tabs. He says he dismantles 50 bikes a month, and many have no more damage than this. I guess it is just the nature of the insurance game.

So parts are shipping out today, if paid for, and eta to arrive in California is 1 week.

I had that wheel and the rotors in my shopping cart before anyone else (since I'm based in Asian hours), but some f@%#&ckup with Paypal (not my fault) leading to a -$8.60 negative balance prevented me from completing the transaction until the next morning EST, of course you'd already snatched by then. I've been looking for a second set of rims at a reasonable price for ages.
