Years ago in a galaxy far far away and in another lifetime we lived by a simple rule:
Change one thing at a time!
That way, if something didn't improve, or actually was worse (drag racing), it was an easy decision to return things to suit what we were doing.
My suggestion would be change the links first and see what the handling was before you changed the tire. There are many who have changed to Kouba Links (or other manufacturers) and not changed the front (moving the fork tubes up in the triple clamps) and been very happy.
I suppose you are looking for someone who has changed the front tire to a "60" and what difference that has made. Hopefully someone will chime in.
