My wife's co-worker.

A hot blond no less while bragging to my wife on the cell phone how she made it to Tampa from West Palm in two and half hours, (which is about a four hour drive). Got popped by a under cover state trooper for doing 120 in a 55mph zone.

Stupid cagger I know, on a cell phone no less, but bragging about no tickets and then getting popped!!! Priceless!!!!

Anyway hate to see a person get totally screwed. The cop told her he could have taken her to jail, but left her off with 120mph ticket.

My suggestion was one of those ticket clinics I see advertised.

Anyone had experience with one of these?????

Ouch!

Don't know about California but around here if the ticket is for so much over the speed limit, it doesn't qualify to be able to go to traffic school and the ticket dropped.

Maybe she should have shown some major clevage or something and tried to flirt her way into getting that speed lowered on the ticket.

Yeah, it totally varies by state. That one I would think is worthy of an attorney even if it is Florida. Check the Yellow Pages or any nearby swamp.

She's probably not eligible for any traffic school. In Cali, if you're 30 mph over the limit, you can't take advantage of the traffic school to void the citation.

Forget the cleavage, she should have gone all out with a beav shot!!!!!!! Unless the cop was gay, it should have paralized his brain momentarily and he probably would have let her go with a "Thanks for that, you just made my day."

A police officer stops a blonde for speeding and asks her very nicely if

he could see her license. She replied in a huff, "I wish you guys would get

your act together. Just yesterday you take away my license and then today

you expect me to show it to you!"

Was she popped by the cop for talking about it or was she talking on the phone WHILE doing it and got stopped?

If the former, that'll teach her to blab in public.

If the latter, that'll teach her to blab when she should be paying attention to her driving.

Poped while driving and at the same time bragging about not ever have a ticket and saying that the other day she drove to Tampa in two and a half hours of course doing over a hundred much of the way no doubt.

From my experience no matter how many times you get away with speeding it only takes one ticket to dampin your day. :(

So, let me get this straight...

Blond

In a cage

Talking on the phone

Driving over 100 mph

Got a ticket

Who cares?

Slow her down before she tops a hill behind me while I am on my bike.

Oh, yea, nearly forgot you had to manage that little piece of asphalt regularly. Our own little 'coridor of death.'

They're trying, though. Troopers on that stretch alot!

She should have gone to jail. More than double the posted limit in OR/WA is an automatic 3 days in jail and feleny speeding ticket.

Pot to Kettle.......BLACK!

I know we're guilty of similar sins my friend.......and I never thought we should go to jail.

I don't think Washington has passed the same thing they did in OR with that 100mph thing my friend. I'd have noticed that one for sure and had a long talk with a half dozen of my local legislators before it happened.

In Washington though if you were doing 120 you could be arrested, charged with felony wreckless driving, and have to do up to a year and $2,500 fin if found guilty? RCW 46.61.500

But, I don't find any mandatory minimums.

And I'm pretty sure there's some due process even left in Oregon.

It's been a while, but does anyone else, when you're driving a high-performance vehicle and see the flashing lights in the rear-view, have that momentary thought in their mind to hit the throttle and make a run for it? I'd never actually do it, of course, but I'll admit that it does cross my mind - if only for an instant.

Oh yes. In that same instant I imagine also saying to the officer, "The cuffs are too tight. And do you know if my cellmate's name is *actually* Bubba?"

Slick called it. In Fla. the school and no points or insurance hit is only good for up to 10 over the limit. Then the fine increases by so many dollars per MPH over. She will pay for this one.

Found all this out the hard way a few weeks back. No tickets for 15 years until the FJR Hummm! He was well hidden and clocked me for 80 in a 60 on a back road in the Ocala forest. Cut me a break (somewhat) and wrote it for 68. $85 fine, $25 for the online school. No insurance bump though.
