Ahhhh Yes. I still remember the look on the Service Manager's face when I said... "Today is Tuesday. Make me an appointment for the 600-mile service on Friday. It's okay if I go over by 100 or so isn't it?"
As someone already pointed out, be careful about making short trips that don't get the engine properly warmed. That type of short-cycling is not good for the engine during the first hours. Ride it for at least 45 minutes at a time. 1-2 hours preferably.
Keep the RPMs below 6,000 for the first 2-3 hours, then let it rip! Break it in the way you want it to run after that.
I'd love to have a new 2010 to break in. Enjoy your new ride!
