It was a very nice day here in Southwest Idaho Saturday afternoon. I went into the office at 6:30 am to try to finish up some stuff and wanted to leave at about noon. Once I got home, I donned my riding pants and jacket, grabbed my new Shoei Quest and headed for my plugged in new bike to take it out on it's maiden spin. The odometer read 0.7 miles. The ambient air temperature was 37 degrees with little to no wind. Out of the barn and off I go.
WOW. What a sweet machine; quiet, stable, easy to turn, ggrreeaatt brakes and the unbelievable amount of acceleration. I held back, keeping in mind this is the first time out and the object was to start the break in. Did I mention the 37 degrees? After what seemed to be a short amount of time the body was getting chilled and I headed back. WOW. This is the nicest bike I have ever owned.
585 miles to go and then she's broken in. Now what about this 600 mile service?
Regards,
-Paul
