Yes, it's a beautiful bike and yes, it was a very limited production bike. But, it's a 10 year old bike and, by today's standards, quite frankly, it ain't that great. Loved the bike back then - just about drooled when I saw my first one up close and personal - but, it's a 10 year old 135 horsepower 750. Guess it's all in what you're after.

I know all that. My duc, after some work, makes more hp than the R7 but what a beautiful bike. And like you, I drooled over the one I saw in England. Have a heart on for that bike, oh and a aerial square four. Doesn't make much sense but ....

Either (or both) would be great.

I wanted just the 'O-WOW' tool-kit -- when they were new. Fantastic tool-kit -- and expensive, too.

Ariel Square Four Mark II ('four piper'):

A Superbike for its day. Great, grunty motor (like the FJR) -- sounds like a vintage sportscar when accelerating.

I don't know which is more costly (now) -- the Yamaha or the Ariel...?

Have to agree with Randy , thats a pretty expensive piece of history. That said, I still lust for and am ready to pay stupid money for the right 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk so I understand where Niehart is coming from.

Difference is I plan to continue using the Studebaker while it appreciates, don't think you could do that with the Yammie and get even the current asking price a few years down the road.

I think they were about $32K new.

Asking price is $31,500 on the OP.

Better than my investments have been doing lately :angry03:

600 miles... wow. Of course, that could be a bad thing, too. :) I think the asking price is a bit much, but where else are you going to get one of these?

Personally I think I'd buy the OW-01 right behind it! :dribble: It'd go well with my RC-30... :assassin:
