I'll leave home in time to be at Mr D's around 11:30 or so. It takes me about an hour to get to Kingman from the South side of Havasu.

I might have to cut the weekend ride short a day... 
Driving a U-Haul loaded with tons of crap, And pulling a heavy Jeep behind it sucks, And has pushed my arrival to kingman 1 day later. This thing is a death trap! I was battling strong winds yesterday, And snow today in New Mexico... <_<
My night time driving is non existent due to the headlights being so far out of adjustment, And no way to adjust them without breaking the tabs... :angry2:
So, I will be unpacking on friday, But will meet yall for lunch at Mr. D's, And catch up with yall on the way to Phoenix for the rest of the fun.

As we had discussed Adam, you can't rely on crossing the country in a U-Haul breaking any time records. I've gone the U-Haul thing a few times myself and learned to take the journey in stride and not have too high of expectations.

Tell me about it. My ride to Vegas this morning was in the 30s. Glad I got the electric jacket. I was supper toasty and did not go over medium rare on the heat.

Weather around here is supposed to warm up, but it sure isn't looking like it is.
Current temp in Kingman is "46 degrees but feels like 38 degrees". I'd rather have it be 46 and feel like 76.
Saturday will be a high of 70 in Kingman,
Las Vegas 70 on Friday and 75 on Saturday,
Chandler 80 on Saturday and 85 on Sunday.
Supposedly no wind by Friday anywhere along our route. But then the wind was supposed to stop last Tuesday and its blowing hard right now.

Arrested Development
Left home at about 8 this morning and went up the hill into South Lake Tahoe....Went down Hwy 89 and over Monitor Pass and on to Hwy 395 into Mammoth Lakes and down to Bishop for the night. Not a real long ride (300+) but a cold one. Temps were mostly in the low 30's with the lowest being 26 degrees and the high was a balmy 41. I hate to say this publicly but Old Michael was right when he told me that it would be cold. There is one advantage to the cold... No bugs! Will leave early in the morning and ride through Death Valley and then over into Nevada.... See you guys in the early afternoon....Rich

Ok, we have 2 choices for Breakfast at Mt. Charleston.
First we have the "Resort at Mt. Charleston"... Quaint but not quite resort like... Resort at Mt. Charleston Breakfast starts at 7am.
Next we have the Mt. Charleston Lodge. Also quaint but higher up the mountain... Mt. Charleston Lodge I have had lunch here but not breakfast. The menu says breakfast starts at 8am... I would want to confirm before we head up there...

Spyderbret and Eeksnake: Chris and Bret, you are our Las Vegas hosts so anywhere you guys pick for breakfast on the mountain top is fine with us. My girlfriend Rena's flight was three hours late arriving from Houston. Southeast Texas is getting hammered by rain and she barely made it out of Lone Star State. 8am departure from Rancho Casino tomorrow!

We're going to take the scenic way through Prescott, adds an hour, and fifty miles; but it is a much prettier and scenic route.

Damn, I'm just now reading about this going on in my back yard!
Sorry GB, to say that my life has been a hectic mess turned upside down, inside out, and had a large quantity of "wtf" poured all over it would be a vast understatement. I've had almost no free time lately, and going online to chat with friends has been next to impossible.
However, I've been to the Heart Attack grill and will take any excuse to go back there. Make sure to bring you camera's boys!
