Oh well, what can one say....I suppose it was a local thinking, he is untouchable, as he can scoot by that darn bus. Bad bad decision leading to a worse situation...Hope those fellas made it out alive!!
PS:
I love my life and hell would have to freeze over or pigs can fly before I pass another vehicle in a curve, let alone in s's!!!!!

I usually don't just "plus one" a comment stream like this, but honestly, what benefit is served with that video? I mean here, for us? Will it keep somebody from trying a pass like that? Would we have, without it? That looked serious, and I hope somebody survived it, and I don't want to have to wonder what they may have had to go through afterwards.

I posted it because of the uniqueness of it..we all know to look ahead for cars if we decide to pass on a questionable curve..but i've NEVER seen 2 bikes collide in this fashion. Scary to view, but shows that its possible.

As much as I don't like to see stuff like that, it does serve as a reminder of what can happen if we get carried away and let the adrenaline overcome common sense.

Not that I'm proud of it, but under certain circumstances, I will pass on the double yellow. Our bikes can accelerate very quickly and if I can see properly and there are no cross direction hazards present, I'll make the pass.
However, that biker in the video was absolutely stupid.
Still - this reminds me to be vigilant. Frankly, I could wait at times - better safe than sorry.

yes, that end frame in my head would bring up fear and stupidity if my impatience and "can't happen to me" attitude is kicking it's ugly head. Might just be the difference IMHO. But no, I don't go looking for crash vids...
