Hey Folks;

I have a question concerning the stock windshield on an '03. Yes I already did a search on it :rolleyes: I bought the bike used and i am not sure if it has the stock or the optional "touring". I just want to know the measurement of the original windshield. I know that it was taller in '04 and the touring screen was taller still; I found all of that in the threads, but can't find the measurement of the original windshield.

If anyone could tell me that little tidbit; I would really appreciate it! :yahoo:

thanks!

22" wide at its widest point ----------- 15" tall at its midpoint, at least that's what mine measures - through the bubble-wrap in the garage.

Cool Deal!

Thanks rogdeb! I will check when I get home; but i believe I may have the touring shield on the bike now; I may pick up a stocker to try for the summer. Thank again! :D

I was looking through the "CalSci" website a day or two ago and noticed these instructions for trimming a windshield, which seem very thorough. If you haven't seen this website, check it out. The owner of CalSci seems to be someone with a lot of interests and apparently a lot of time on his hands. He has many many pages of motorcycle-related links, everything from riding tips to the physics of aerodynamics (complete with heavy math) on windscreen design to how to fight a traffic ticket. Makes for some interesting reading. Post back about how you like whatever you end up doing; I'm thinking of cutting down my stock shield too.

I have an '03 with the touring shield. The touring shield says AHAMAY on the back. B)

'rogdeb' is correct (when measured on the convex). To pick a nit: it's only 20" wide when measured on the concave.
