Sorry about the photo links to original post. Let me try again. This bike is really in perfect condition and has all of the farkles that make this a very good buy. Thanks and hope this generates some interest.

Slight discoloration on frame under seat is protective film. Has film on tank, both side bags, and frame. Easy to take off if not wanted.

Laminar lip on stock windshield worked best for me (5'9"). I also have the Yamaha "Touring" windshield (included). Also note heated grip switch in lower right corner.

Heavy factory cover (good for garage, but not trips).

Seriously? Not one reply to this NorCal bike for sale? Fellow forum members, help me understand what I'm doing wrong here. Price too high? The fact that I am replacing it with GS? Did I offend someone? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Clay

Good looking bike and well outfitted. I imagine if you keep working the forum and craigslist you will get some interest in the coming weeks.

Good luck with sale!

I will be following this thread closely. I have a similar model with more miles, but a few different farkles. Not sure mine is as pristine as yours though.

I will be interested to know what it sells for because I feel a Gen 3 calling my name. Like to know how much cash I need to have on hand to make up the remaining amount.

Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the comments. I'll keep it listed as is for awhile lonber. I've had some interest from a few folks over the past few days. Had someone lined up to look at it this evening, but I was away all weekend and they found a 2007 to buy.

On a side note and of importance to all Forum members looking to sell, I receieved this corresppondence from someone supposedly interetsed in my bike. This person wanted me to run a VIN report on the bike FROM A SPECIFIC VENDOR, but when I went looking online, all sorts of red flags went up regarding the website. I also saw where someone else was suspicious and posted the language they received from a supoosed buyer (different name) asking the same VIN report question, and the EXACT wording as below.

Looks like a scam to get credit card info, or to have you buy a report from a company they are associated with, to me. Beware!

Clay

Text of email to me:

I'd just really appreciate it if you can get report and that you get it from checkvinreport.com because i'd like to repay you for it if we make a deal, and they're cheaper than carfax, and you know how it is, every dollar you save counts. I don't want to get it myself because if it's bad then i just wasted my money, but you can still use it however it turns out. I would like to see biketomorrow if you are free (and if everything is ok with history report)

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Todd Anderson
