Now that you have a reliable Gen I FJR take her someplace scenic that she would enjoy, take her someplace she would like to eat, take her someplace she would like to go. Reinforce the Ride to Pleasure ratio. Hopefully she will become GLAD you bought that lovely FJR.
Hmmm... This may be a job for the VibeRider (NWS)

A lady friend of mine whose VERY flirty saw those and sent me the link about 4 or 5 years ago. So one day we go for a ride on my Meanstreak. She gets off the bike and tells me to buy one and put it "right here". Being very specific to the spot on the seat where she wanted it.

I'm like, thats where your asshole is.

... and she just grinned.

... I think I'm gonna give her a call after work.

Steve,

As a public service I feel that I need to tell you that, you are getting awfully darned close to providing TMI there.

You're welcome,

Your friend Fred

PS - To Awesomesean: Yes, all technical threads degenerate to this level after the problem has been resolved. No worries. ;)

I love the FJR. I chose this over the ST and the BMW because I liked it. I took my GF for a ride up the canyon the other day and she said it hurt her butt (this is for another post i'm sure). She liked the Gold Wing and actually said that after my car is payed off I should get another one. I think she liked the couch like ride. I do not want to part with the FJR. It is mine!!! I just hope it is reliable and trustworthy. I don't want to worry about all these other problems like the faint ticking and whirring I can hear.

I think I know the real reason she don't like it.......0-80 in 5 secs. Yep, and she thinks the woody is because of her.

FJR 0-80 in 5 secs

GoldWing 0-80 in 60 secs (but she is watching TV and filing her nails) :yahoo:

But seriously, thanks for the info. I think this fixed the problem. I will let you know. Thanks everyone.

Many of the Harleys I see idling at traffic lights looks like the Vibe-Rider comes preinstalled on the base models......

Never actually have ridden a Goldwing have ya.

I actually have an older wing and rode my dads 88 wing a lot but he just sold his because he wants a can-am. I was not literal about the 0-80 time. The wing was like riding a lazy boy down the road. GF loved it.
