2006 Colors?

I have an 05, how can you tell if it has the froggie detuned motor as mine dyno'ed out at 127.1hp

The detuned French motor develops 108 HP. The Dyno-test on such a machine would register barely more than 90HP.

You don't have a French motor on your US bike (...and why should you, bro?).

A deep red would be a popular color choice. As for two tone paint.....looks better on a cruiser style bike in my opinion.

I am looking forward to an R-1 red, a riding bud has a new

black and silver R-1 and Yam uses the same two colors of

the 04FJR silvers on his bike.

The FJR is starting to get a little long in the tooth and the

fact that Yam did not put any noticeable improvements

on the '05 may indicate a lack of interest in tweaking

this model anymore.

By upgrading the rear suspension a bit or some

other obvious improvement on the 05, they would

have given a positive message about their future

interest in this bike.

Hope there is something better about

the 06 than some fancy paint color !!! :erm:

Is anyone familiar enough with Yamaha's new model introduction schedule to hazard a guess as to when we might know the specs and color for the '06? Does it vary from year to year?

In the past its been late jan early feb before the beginning of the pdp. There has been talk of possibly selling the bike off the floor. If Yamaha opts for that then who knows. The new cruisres and sport bike for 06 should start arriving in a month or 2 and trickle in through the fall and winter.

Well I was reading that suggested policy about suspending jerks that are mean to newbies thread and it made me think, "Hmm, I can go dig up all sorts of old topics that got beat to death."
