Moved to the twisties so I no longer need a tourer. Bought a new ride so the trusty FJR is up for sale.

Bought new off the showroom floor in 2008. Meticulously maintained since new. 77,000 miles. NEVER been to the shop for a repair...only valve checks (no shims needed) and recalls. Hydraulic fluids replaced, new brake pads, pivots greased, oils changed, good tires. Truely ready to ride across the state or country. If we go to TN/NC again for a fall trip...going on the FJR if not sold!

Cosmetically good as you can tell from pics, but not perfect.

Corbin seat, 90 degree valve stems, slider, G2 throttle tube, crampbuster and heated grips. Still under Yamaha factory warrantee for another 7 months! $5900!!!

And GR never actuated the tip over sensor more than once (while keeping the bike on track). Honest!! That front corbin sure looks shiney from *** polishing...

Hell of a good price on a hell of a good bike.

Be sure to let us know what you moved on to after the sale (or before).

Best of luck with the new steed. (You'll not be forgotten here)

Added a 2010 VFR 1200 to the stable. Since I now live in the twisties, the VFR was more suited to my current riding style. If it had a larger fuel tank and the convenience of an adjustable windshield...It would be perfect for me!

Also, this forum is much more active and better than the vfr 1200 forum!

I doubt I will be missed because I aint goin nowhere...but thanx for your comments. I have met a lot of good people from this forum and continue to ride with several. Also, since I live in the AR twisties, I get to continue seeing peeps as they come here to ride. So...whether I sell the FJR or not, you aint getting rid of me that easy!

So...doesn't someone need a reliable affordable FJR for touring and/or 2up excursions?

Yeah... I pretty much hate you.

The VFR 12 is a very nice choice, IMO. Is that V4 engine some kind a smooth or what? I'll assume that you didn't get the dual clutch automagic shifting one. That may be technically "faster" but would take a lot of the fun out

Best of luck with it.

(Now let's see you keep tires on that thing!! :p )

Yep, got the manual version and the engine is smooth as butta...5k and redline feel the same.

And it is becoming apparent that tire expense will continue to be an issue.
