The Cape Fear 1000 starts in 2 weeks and we have 9 FJRs registered to participate with a total of 118 riders. It's nice to see the FJR well represented. Borrec and myself will be trailing each other and hope to do well. It's a multi-location start and we'll be starting in Venice FL. I know the Rally Bastard will try to sucker us into going to Key West.....that's not going to happen on a spring time weekend. The Keys traffic will be ridiculous. Wish us luck.

Ahh...rally season is finally here. Best of luck to you and Borrec. Have fun, be safe, and be sure and tell us all about it when you get back.

I'll see you guys in Wilmington. I'm starting out of Rome, NY.

Let's see... for me to win out of Rome, I'd only have to beat Jim Owen, Alex Schmitt, Rob Nye, Peter Leap, and a handful of other of IBR vets. Should be a piece of cake.

Oh well. At least I'll get the t-shirt.

What a great time! :yahoo: The weather was almost perfect and the bonus hunting was really fun. RoadGlide and I tied for 6th, but his odo showed he went more miles and his time was 1 minute ahead of me, I am happy with 7th till next year.

1,042 miles in 24 hrs 18 mins.

30,790 points and none lost at the table.

squeezer, sorry I missed you at the dinner.

The only Ah Shit! moment was in NC when we were running the backroads and passing cars when we could and we came up on the rear of this SUV. It was a NC Highway Patrol  , kept waiting for him to turn on the lights or let us by then drop the hammer. He turned off further down the road and that was it.

I will let RoadGlide tell the story about the Waffle House in Charleston, SC were we stayed for our rest bonus.

The Void 4 is next.

Congrats on your top ten finish. Outstanding job guys! Any other FJR's in the top ten? Who brought home the prize?

Can't wait to hear the rest of the Waffle House story. Did it involve Kid Rock? :)

Didn't really know who rode what by the time the dinner and awards were handed out. Having been up for 40 straight hours may have had some affect on that. No kid rock but there was a rapper involved. Quite entertaining.

I'm sorry I missed you guys at dinner too. I'll have to snag an FJR hat or something so we're easier to find.

I finished 10th out of New York, and against that field, 10th place felt okay.

Peter Behm won out of Milan on an FJR.

With you guys 6th out of Venice (nice job!), I think we did okay for the marque -- top 10 finishers in all groups.

Next up for me is the Mason-Dixon 20-20 next month. Then I'm on rally hiatus until the Void 4. We'll try to tip a beer there.

P.S. Did you guys actually tie for 5th once they figured out Jim and Donna had started out of Milan?

6th was after they figured out the Jim & Donna mistake.
