I am planning on staying in Athens with my daughter and ride Friday and Saturday. Looking forward to it! Sorry, trying to cut expenses so am passing on the hotel.

I hate to get a room when I only live an hour away. Day 1 works great for me. My preference might not count as much though since I ride a Kaw :D I'm already commited to a poker run on Saturday so I won't make day 2.

Well so far there are 5 confirmed attendees with 2 riding only one day and 3 staying the hotel. Very small turnout compared to years past?!?

Bad economy? Normally we have a dozen or more riders!

Are you guys OK with moving this to the fall to encourage more participation? Hate to do all the pre-scouting and route finalizing the next few weekends for just a few riders to show.

Provided my son's graduation isn't that weekend (no I still don't know if it is). I plan to be there, in what capacity or for how long will be determined Oh, about the Thursday before :) Sorry to be so vague.

I am planning on making reservations this week, I was looking to split a room...no such luck. Is this thing still a go? I was planning on coming down Thursday, riding Friday and leaving sometime Saturday. I gotta be back for my son's graduation on Sunday. Let me know

Joe

I was sort of planning on stopping by on that Friday for breakfast to say HI...

I only live about an hour away , so it's no big deal either way ,,,

Got plenty of stuff to do that weekend ,, as usual..

Jeanne and I are planning to arrive sometime Friday afternoon. Stay two nights, leave Sunday morning.

This all depends on our work schedule, and could change a day, one way or another.

Well, I'm out... Graduation is Friday, party on Saturday so that pretty much puts the Kibosh on this for me.

On the other hand my son is graduating with honors, and I'm quite proud. There will be other days to ride :)

Yall have a blast and take lots of photos.

Oh and no crashing.

I am hosting a car show ;une 6th for The littlest heroes (supports children

With cancer and their families). Between that and racing not as

Much free time as in the past.

Booked at the Baymont Inn for Thursday & Friday nights. Anyone interested in sharing a room, PM me

See ya there,

Joe :good:

So, do we have enough interest to go for it? I am still in 100%. Got new Stradas in the garage to go on before I head out.

If you decide to move to another date, that's OK with me as well. Just don't conflict with the Cats and Daks, WFO, or EOM.

Well, I'm out. The local track is going to need extra cornerworkers for the weekend. Might be able to attend a fall event, but will be riding to Cali in for Sept. Missing EOM too!!!

I'm in :clapping:

Just booked a room for 3 nights. Looks like pmk6v is coming with me on his 04 FJR.

Anyone do a head count yet ?

See you all there.

Is it June yet ?

Ride safe

Art

edit; I just read the earlier posts. Is it still a go ?

Looks like we're going to have to postpone this one. Not a lot of interest compared to years past to justify the needed other actions, mostly scouting for conditions, detours, etc-which takes 2 solid days to complete the planning and ensure the route has safe conditions. Was hoping for 12-20 riders or more.

Sorry for the hastle of having to move things around on your schedules and cancel reservations for those who did. We'll try again another time.

Oh...check post 1 for the other days' routes if you're planning to do the ride anyway. Having a ride leader shouldn't stop you from riding the route now or anytime you want. Do bring a good map for detours and closed bridges, etc...the orange construction barrel is the offical state flower.

Again, sorry for postponing this one...

Thanks for trying to pull this together Mike. I canceled my hotel reservation and I'll do some nice long day rides near home instead. I'll keep an eye out in case the ramble comes back to life at a later date. Otherwise, I'll see you at EOM.

I finish with 2 weeks of stressful stuff at work on 6/4 :yahoo:

Therefore, I'm still planning on riding most of the route on the 5th :biggrinsmiley: I do appreciate the effort to put something like this together, it takes plenty of time, which is hard to find now adays.

As far as road conditions go, I've ridden most of the Northern half of the Friday route in the past 6 weeks. I didn't come across anything major.

Take care, Bryan.
