Howdy folks, just saw the pics of the 2008 SFO, and looks like everyone had a blast. I definitly would like to attend the 2009 SFO. I live in Miami, Fl. and know of a few more FJR owners who would probably attend also. As soon as someone knows when and where, please post. Thanking You in Advance, Carlos :yahoo:

Maybe in Eureka Springs, Arkansas again. There are some really good technical riding roads there and awesome scenery.

FJRCHIK is the one who would know I believe at this point.

Hi Azuqui,

Welcome to the forum! Its exciting to see another Floridian wanting to come to SFO!

Its pretty early to be making any announcements about next year's SFO and I always try to be respectful of the other regional events and let them have their time in the sun. So we don't start our registration or announcements until November or December. I need time to redo the website and other such business.

Now, having said all that, I can say that I'm looking to keep SFO in Eureka for another year. That town is pretty amazing and the hotel was extremely accommodating to us. And we always have it at the same time every year, but we are looking to move things back one week for next year.

So please check back later in the year when I make the official announcement!

It'd be cool to hit up some Arkansas diamond mines!

Count me in for Eureka.

Who all is going to Golden? I just snagged my ticket & Bugzy may bug out on me...!

I know a few were hoping for the one week push back to help get the finals out of the way..

And you couldn't ask for a more cooperative Hotel and riding environment.

Here's to another great SFO.

Kudo's to Our Great Hostess.... FJRChik you did an amazing job.........If the crik don't rise and the snow doesn't come. I'll be back...

I just joined this forum and also purchased a Black Cherry 2007 FJR1300. I would be interested in attending the next SFO where ever it may be and I have always enjoyed going to Eureka Springs if it is held there again. I live just outside Little Rock so it would be fairly close as well. I will probably be doing some riding up there in the next few months since I have ridden most of central AR already on my old bike. I have only had the bike a few weeks and have already covered most of the same ground so I am always looking for new places to ride fo sho.

Glen

Hi Glenn,

Welcome and I hope you can make SFO next year! We had an awesome time this year, best rally I've ever attended honestly. The plan right now is the same, we'll be back at the Best Western Eureka Inn next year and I have the rally booked for April 30-May 2 right now. I caution everyone that this could change. My house is for sale and I plan on moving to So Cal immediately after it sells. I hope to continue planning SFO for 2009 but if something crazy comes up, I already have a few SFO peeps in mind to hand this lovely event off too, and I'll help them knock this one out.

So go ahead and mark it on your calendars folks, but please understand that things could change, and until we hit the new year, I wouldn't make any definite plans yet. As of now, I am planning on coming back from Cali to be here for SFO 09. But we all know how life can get in the way of your intentions. I'll do my best!

Hello fjrchik,

I am a new rider, new FJR owner, new to all of this. Add me to the list of folks who would like to attend SFO 2009. And so far, I love this site. It's incredibly informative and the members make you feel like you belong. Looking forward to see all the other SFO participants.

BigDaddy

Hi BigDaddy - You'll have a blast at SFO, no doubt! Eureka is the coolest biker town on a mountain ever! Registration will open around Thanksgiving, so watch for the announcement around then to get signed up. Looking forward to meeting you!

It's a "biker town"? Damnit. I hate being associated with them tramp types. Can we have it in mansfield texas next time? ....please...please?

I will be there for sure. First FJR meet after I RETIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa :yahoo:

Been through there...literally. A group of four of us on Honda STs coming back from our West Coast rally in Denver Co. Looked like a great place to ride, but as I recall, a bunch-o-traffic? There was a great BBQ joint there on the west side of town though.

The town is nice, but the real attraction is the many miles of riding roads in the area.

Although I am new to this forum I am involved with another group that has 4-day weekends scheduled in ES twice a year.

It's definitely a great place for a rally!

Just got my FJR last week but will definitely plan on attending any meeting in ES

Hey,

This is great news! We really look forward to the SFO group coming back to Eureka Springs.

Loree and I enjoyed meeting everyone, and if anyone needs anything we will do our best to accomidate them.

Chad.

Yes, traffic can be a PITA during tourist season, but ES is a very biker friendly town, and has some great cycle roads around to ride. Ed, if you come on up, we'll meet and I'll bring the pics of Colorado and help you with your ride planning.... and drink all the beer in the county. :drinks:

Depending on how a couple fo projects are going at work, Susie and I are hoping to make it down for this. Her brother lives over in Tulsa, so we hope to make it a nice long riding week and head over there after the rally, then mosey home.

We had such a terrific time at EOM '08, we're trying to make more meets in '09.

Just throwing a note up here so I can get the e-mail notification to remind me to check back here and see if I can make it to the rally. Damn senility.
