Ah, 2009...
2009 started with my First Annual New Year's Day Look At The Moron On The Motorcycle ride. It was somewhere between 25 & 30 degrees F.
I went here:
And took this picture:
...
Had to take some time off of riding. The weather just wasn't cooperating.
So we just kinda hung around and watched this guy on his TV show.
...
So after a few short rides during the winter, springtime came. I took a quick road trip to see forum member tstaff where he graciously slapped on a set of PR2's for me, then a coupla weeks later I took the Lee Parks class. No pictures of these.
...
Next up: SFO, baby! YEE-HAW!!
JustRoy and I rode from Columbus to Eureka Springs, AR, together in one day. 725 miles, at least 600 in the rain.
Did anyone mention it rained at SFO?
It rained for 3 ... days ... straight.
But, FJR people being the type that we are, alternative methods of entertainment were procured and enjoyed.
Yep, we had a good time.
And ya meet some of the most interesting people at FJR rallies...
...
After SFO wrapped up, the lil' lady and I headed west one more state to go here:
We visited with her brother who took us on a tour of his workplace.
Then we rode this historic route:
Beginning with this landmark:

Next up for 2009 was a little ceremony for the 'lil lady and me.
(She actually said, "I do!")
...
A few weeks later, we were on the road again. You see some damn interesting things on the road sometimes...
We were headed east this time and decided to make a stop at a truly historic site.
We traveled to Long Island, NY. This will look familiar to many of you.
We met up with The Axeman and he showed up the sights.
We kept going until we got here:
Then turned around and came back home, but not before seeing this fella along the side of the road.

...
For the next couple of months we just kinda puttsed around, a day-trip here and there with friends, nothing much to write about.
...
Although, we did take a little spin on Labor Day weekend.
Including a nice visit with our own Bustanut Joker and Extrememarine.
Thanks again to Barry and Sheila for your kindness. Can't wait to see you guys again.
....
And then, all was quiet.
Until...
....
EOM 2009!! WOO-HOO!!!
We met up with these guys for the slog down.
Met up with faces familiar...
Went riding with more familiar faces...
And new faces....
All in all....
Good times were had....
By...
One....
And...
All.
Ride safe, and happy new year!
