Got a few more. But it's sleepytime.

I had a great time riding in 2009. I rode up to both CFR and WFO, and did all 20 dams in the Dam Tour along the way, plus I wound up fifth (or tenth, depending on how you look at it) in the Yank the Weenie Rally. I was a witness for a 100CCC ride (two-up, no less), and a 50CC. Good stuff.

As usual, THE best, OM. Difficult to choose a favorite from that selection.

ME
I agree...some outstanding photos...and the ride reports represented by those photos. You've had a great 2009.

And George/escapefjrtist, those are some outstanding photos as well. You had a good and busy 2009 it looks like.

WOW! Looks like you got alot of riding in. I wish I did not have to work so much, then I could ride more. Being a FNG to sport touring, my first trip was in October 09. A week of riding Southern Ca to Colorado. I was blown away by the trip. I'm looking forward to my next trip where ever it might be.

Hey blurry...either my eyes aren't workin' or your photobucket account doesn't like you. I'd like to actually see what photos you took on your trip.

2009; I didn't get to put anywhere near as many miles on the FJR as I have in the past.

But....I'm had blast chasing my son around in the woods almost every weekend. :yahoo:

First tour ever was on my feej to Tupelo and then down to Diamondhead Mississippi on fund raiser for a downed motorcycle highway patrolman.

there was damp SFO, many trips to Pensacola, PRG KIA mission at Eglin Florida, trip to Panama City to visit Walt Fooshee and he installed my AVCC, recent Pensacola trip to see Walt and weather prevented Howie and Vic majicmaker from getting there. Helped out AlFJR by meeting him at the end of his one way SS1000. Bike down for minor maintenance July 28-Dec 6 and got help from peeps to get it back on the road.

Many CMA rides and my annual all are invited Nawlins' Ride to Eat event.

Jan to Dec was 25k miles less Jul to Nov

Ah, 2009...

2009 started with my First Annual New Year's Day Look At The Moron On The Motorcycle ride. It was somewhere between 25 & 30 degrees F.

I went here:

IMG_2335.jpg

And took this picture:

IMG_2340.jpg

...

Had to take some time off of riding. The weather just wasn't cooperating.

20090125_FJR_1540.jpg

So we just kinda hung around and watched this guy on his TV show.

...

So after a few short rides during the winter, springtime came. I took a quick road trip to see forum member tstaff where he graciously slapped on a set of PR2's for me, then a coupla weeks later I took the Lee Parks class. No pictures of these.

...

Next up: SFO, baby! YEE-HAW!!

JustRoy and I rode from Columbus to Eureka Springs, AR, together in one day. 725 miles, at least 600 in the rain.

SFOandRoute66May09002.jpg

Did anyone mention it rained at SFO?

SFOandRoute66May09035.jpg

It rained for 3 ... days ... straight.

P5010092.jpg

But, FJR people being the type that we are, alternative methods of entertainment were procured and enjoyed.

P5010093.jpg

P5020101.jpg

Yep, we had a good time.

SFOandRoute66May09081.jpg

And ya meet some of the most interesting people at FJR rallies...

SFOandRoute66May09083.jpg

...

After SFO wrapped up, the lil' lady and I headed west one more state to go here:

SFOandRoute66May09101.jpg

We visited with her brother who took us on a tour of his workplace.

SFOandRoute66May09110.jpg

Then we rode this historic route:

SFOandRoute66May09132.jpg

Beginning with this landmark:

And we didn't stop 'til we got here:

...

Next up for 2009 was a little ceremony for the 'lil lady and me.

wedding.jpg

(She actually said, "I do!")

...

A few weeks later, we were on the road again. You see some damn interesting things on the road sometimes...

P5300100.jpg

We were headed east this time and decided to make a stop at a truly historic site.

P5300107.jpg

We traveled to Long Island, NY. This will look familiar to many of you.

IMG_2530.jpg

We met up with The Axeman and he showed up the sights.

IMG_2548.jpg

We kept going until we got here:

NewEnglandJune2009329.jpg

Then turned around and came back home, but not before seeing this fella along the side of the road.

...

For the next couple of months we just kinda puttsed around, a day-trip here and there with friends, nothing much to write about.

...

Although, we did take a little spin on Labor Day weekend.

Including a nice visit with our own Bustanut Joker and Extrememarine.

LaborDaytrip09003.jpg

Thanks again to Barry and Sheila for your kindness. Can't wait to see you guys again.

....

And then, all was quiet.

Until...

....

EOM 2009!! WOO-HOO!!!

We met up with these guys for the slog down.

Thanks for sharing there Gunny...looks like great times. :clapping:
However, if future posters could keep the post limited to a list of your favorite rides, with a representative piccie or two or three from each ride, and a link to a ride report if you got one....that would be great. Kinda like a little taste of your mcy riding year...
Hmm...I suppose that was a little selfish of me. Sorry folks. I may have gotten a little over-excited. Well hey, don't leave me hangin'...who else has some cool shots of 2009?

The more pix the better IMHO, I like this stuff...keep it up!!

Best part of the 2009 riding season for Annette and I was our return to EOM.

Walking around and thanking the many who supported us during our recovery made Jason's hazing of me at the banquet tolerable...

This picture of Vader just after returning from a US-421 "the Snake" night run /w Haulin' Ashe & JamesK - I'll never forget Fairlaner's comment as I got ready to head out, "What the f#$% are you doing? You're f$%#in' nuts".

DSC_0237.jpg

And, of course, we had some time to kill while waiting for Mr. "wheels up at 0700" Ashe...

2010 here we come!!

Great idea Wheaton! A "The best of the Forum: 2009, a year in pictures!" Can't think of a better way to close out another year. May everyone have a safe and happy New Year!

A shot taken in New Hampshire on a stretch of gravel found on another group FJR ride that I just had to bring the wife and GS's to ride!

IMG_1694.jpg

A photo in West Virginia near EOM '08 playground. By far, the best trip of the entire year! Thank you Jim and Creta!

IMG_1900.jpg

My first hosting of a forum group ride.... what a blast and certainly the catalyst for the next one!

IMG_1675.jpg

Damn you Wheatie, you got me on a project from hell. I've compiled all 2009 fotos, made them into an iMovie, and am now struggling to get the suckah loaded into PhotoBucket. It's over an hour long, but I have full narrative and moozic on the backtrack. I was hoping to have it loaded prior to 2010, but once again I have failed. Oh well, I'm sure I'll get over it.

BTW, I'm riding 2today! I need to bust through 40k in 2010, just a personal goal. What does that work out to, anyway?
