Click on his spotwalla link to get an idea of where he is: https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=b05b53f34e65f411ePretty cool way to mark the 200K mileage milestone.
I don't have the Spot thingie, but I'm thinking that if Tony is taking I-10 Eastward, and the timing is right, I may be able to tow him a few miles for encouragement. How can I learn if (and an estimated WHEN) he would be passing through Lafayette, Louisiana?
I'm told that every marathon runner hits the wall at some point. From there forward, you find out who you really are.
Keep an eye on his progress via Spotwalla. I think his moving average - especially in some parts of Tejas - is just a bit faster than 70.So, he's somewhere near San Simon, AZ now.
Google maps says that if he averages 70 mph (realistic?), he should be in Lafayette, La somewhere around 5 am CDT tomorrow morning?
Looking good, Tony! Homeward bound! Thanks bgross and mcride for the photos and video.
Thanks guys for being there for Tony! we all appreciate it!!Go go go!
OR...When I click on the spot website, sometime I don't see anything, but I can read data on the left side of the window. Sometimes, I see the map with his bike icon on it, but only for a split second, then it goes away.
Edit - it works on my phone. I should be able to track him.
Spot data says he's last check in was near Van Horn, TX at 5:30-ish pm CDT. He was at San Simon, AZ at 12:15-ish. So in the heat of the day, his average is a smidge less than 60 mph?

Thank you very much! You have just taught me something very useful.
