So here is your chance to really have your say on whether you liked the camping meet or not...or what you would change. Either respond to the poll questions or add a comment below.

I'll read them with a chuckle and then see whether it affects what I propose in 2011.

Remember, if you don't like what I propose or where I propose a meet...have at it and propose your own shindig. It's still a free country at last count, and there is nothing sacred about a mcy camping meet.

I'm PISSED... I couldn't make it :dribble:

Looked like a lot of fun and I like camping, next time :big_boss:

Didn't go but wanted to! voted anyway! :D

Good on ya for organizing this and wanting to do another! :clapping:

I may just have to take your advise and set up a camping meet in the mountains of Western Canuckistan!

How did you make out with your bike? (Code 11 or sumptin?)
Things are starting to settle down at home, so I'm gonna open that bike up this weekend and have a look see.

I'll post up in another thread when I find out why the Code 11 struck me down.

We (Janet and I and my brother) had a great time. It is the first time my brother has done an organized event like that. He mostly rides alone or with one or two other people. He was impressed with FJR crowd. There was a BMW guy camped next to us (not part of our event) that rubbed him the wrong way. Guy was a one upper, I do things better than you type. Kind of annoying. I just ignored him.

First time for us camping on the motorcycle. It worked out quite well. The location was close enough to restaurants and such for food, so we didn't have to worry about a camp kitchen. Definitely have to get a coffee pot, though.

I voted for May , but would prefer later in the month. The further we can get away from the nasty spring t-storms the better. As for future venue, I could do BRMC again, but there are a host of other options depending on what you want for ammenities and where you want to ride.

Again, great job setting this up Mark. I look forward to the next one wherever it is!

I was there. I liked it, and I'd do it again.

Intech, The BMW guy was between your tent and mine... I thought he was with you so I tolerated him. :derisive:

He was a real twit wasn't he? (the guy on the blue BMW) My brother was on the red BMW. He can be a twit sometimes too! (I hope he reads this!)

Wherever, whenever...but I really liked what you put together this year, Wheaton. I don't know how big some of the other places are, but the BRMC was cool, and was pretty much ours for the weekend. I think there may have been a bonus getting to that area ahead of Memorial day, too. We probably enjoyed a little less traffic than we might see later in the season.

Wheaton,

Again, loved the weekend. Had a blast with no complaints but had more to do with the people I met than the accomodations.

With that crowd it could be same place or not and I'd be there. Thanks again for putting this year's together.

Wheaton

I voted.

I had a great time, and the place was OK. Although if they still had the kitchen going it would have been great.

Maybe 1 week later would be OK, and WV would be a little closer for us northern folks.

I plan on going again next year. when ever and where ever you deside. Had a great time.

I enjoyed the local roads very much and would not mind riding in that area again. The dragon was a little ways away, but not too far for FJR riders, and the BRP was right up the hill. The BRMC was nice, but the plumbing was a little tired. My biggest gripe was the lack of food nearby. I would prefer a place with food and drink within walking distance. If the BRMC were to have their food concession open I would consider them again, if not I'd prefer somewhere else.

That said, if you have it next year I'll be there regardless of the place.

Um, who are Twisty and Fubar? :hypocritesmiley:

It needs to be longer next time! I barely got to meet anyone and no one took my picture! :grrr:
It's all about you isn't it Pierre!! :D You had a bunch of fellow Canuckian's in the camp...practically took over the place. You could have asked one of them to take your picture.

Here's what we'll do....you email me a picture of yourself...and I'll post it up on this here thread for comment.
