Of course I suppose there could be some frieght, set up, documentation fees or what ever else they may want to sneak in on the OTD price.

Hey!!! What am I, chopped liver?
My 2013 in the For Sale section is STILL a better deal!!!! $14,128 with a 4 year YES warranty, top case, highway pegs and two Yamaha windscreens!!!

AND

You don't have to ride from Indy, you get to ride from BEAUTIFUL WEST FLORIDA!

I agree Fish if I was in the market for a new one yours would be the best deal out there today. I was curious if this was a good deal or a great deal on one of these. Abercrombie's probably right, the price is more than likely get you in the door price.

I got a better deal at Dreyer's because they took my old Connie in trade and Yamaha added $500 over what Dreyer gave me for the trade, after taxes and a topcase and bracket, backrest, extended warranty it was higher than what Westfield listed but not by much and I didn't have the headache of trying to sell my old bike on ebay or Craig's list. I tried to deal with Westfield but they wouldn't take my bike in trade so I took my money elsewhere.

Be careful of the fees and assembly charges. I think 1 or 2 of those dealers were advertising less than msrp, but made up for it in other fees. I got mine for $14300 otd.

Check out this thread on 2013 pricing.

FWIW, if my bike doesn't sell at the current price, I'm OK with that. Maybe it's just telling me I need to back to see the doc and get fixed up...

I sent them an email asking what additional costs were involved, the reply:

To answer your question about additional costs, it varies from unit to unit. As a general rule there are 3 fees. Freight, Doc and Prep. They usually total $1200. If you are interested in the FJR, I can check on the fees for you to see there are any additional charges beyond the $1200. Thanks for your interest in this bike and If you have any other questions please let me know.

I called Westfield before I bought mine, they tack on about $640 freight & prep fees, plus documents and title.

I got mine from Honda East, Maumee, OH. $13,999, $95 document fee, $15 title. This is their normal advertised price.

"Usually total $1200.00!"

Well I called that, still not a bad price but never expected it to be that ridiculous of add on fees. I paid about that same amount at U Motors, but the price they quoted me was the price I paid with no shenanigans.

Littlefish has got the better deal, by far. The 4 year yes warranty, the top box, shop manual, etc. Extras alone a worth a small fortune.
