What a great 11 days and congrats to all the participants and especially the forum regulars many of whom I`ve had the pleasure of meeting and riding with in the past.

I`m in awe of the rides you all put in. Anybody whose done a basic Saddlesore has a real appreciation for the feat. Even with that, it still boggles my mind that you function at a level high enough to make decisions beyond autonomic after 11 days of hard riding like that.

Rest up, you`ve earned it.

This has been only the 2nd IBR I've followed along with on this forum (or anywheres). The more I've followed it, the more I have come to appreciate what it must take to ride this event. To all who just rode this rally this year, and to all those who rode it in the past....you have my utmost respect. Kudos to the finishers and the almost finishers.

Big Congrats Derek!

Funny that Mountain went from having his feet rotting off to doing one of the biggest monster rides of the rally! Freaking awesome! Congrats to all, this has been fun! Hrm, now to enter myself in the Big Tex rally and see if I can handle a sliver of this kind of action.

Please do enter :) It will be fun to ride with ya, and you will have Brian Walters and Rex LeGalley (19th and 17th in this IBR) as competition.

Brian has already told me he will kick my *** in that Rally. It will be fun.

Major kudo's to the riders, an awesome effort! Five thumbs up for the FJR riders!

But I'd also like to throw out a big hurrah for the folks that wrote the rally. Two different, but both achievable, routes on the third leg plus the mob that just sort of diffused into the center of the country was brilliant. An excellent routing effort! Really had to make the riders think on all the legs. I'd love to hear some of the thoughts of the riders as far as how they planned their route and overall stratigey. A rally plan of the highest challenge.

I'll go on record to say that I won't be competition at all.

I'm guessing JP Mountain has earned himself a new nickname "nutjob"!
Can one of the mods go ahead and change his username? :)

Just wanted to point out that in addition to 5 FJR's in the top 6, we have our man Phil on the FZ1 in 14th, on his 2nd IBR. YEAH PHIL!!

Just getting back from the finish banquet. For the first time in 11 days I have had a chance to log onto a computer and get reconnected with online friends and world news/events. The 2013 IBR was everything I had hoped it would be. We saw some amazing things and country. Congrats to our top 10 FJR riders who really kicked some "butt this year!... now off to bed without any alarms set to go off in 2-3 hrs.

I'm gonna get out in front of this one and be pulling for Fazer Phil - I believe he ended up 40something in '11 on an FZ1 and he's back for more this year. I love my FZ1 but I'm getting a hemorrhoid just thinking about putting >10k miles on it in a couple of weeks.
Go Phil!!

I am greatly impressed by the impressive performance of the FJR team, and greatly appreciate Jason's work on the tracking, and all the input from Warchild and others who had some inside info to keep us on edge, but let's give it up for FazerPhil - 14th place on the FZ1!!
