Since there is a possibility that my brother will not make it I may ride the route on Saturday. If I do I have no problem leading. I have a GPS and will have the routes downloaded.

Whawhawhat??? Steve may not be coming...If thats the case, and you play leader...I'm in yer group

Typically, everyone runs the same route on the same day. If there's an issue, there's a good chance another group will be along to help (unless you're the last group...)

We haven't discussed which side to run on Saturday yet (or sunday). I believe we ran the east loop on Saturday last year, west loop was rained out for some. You're riding down Saturday morning, correct? Do you plan to meet a group on the route or at the hotel? If you're going to join along with way, I'd just hit the route at the half way point and run backwards until you pass a group, and then follow to next gas stop. We need to figure out east or west before Friday.

Local riders could chime in here with recommendations...

Is the plan to do East and West routes on Saturday or one each day?

If you do the west route on saturday depending on when I got to the area I could hit the route South of Zainesville. But no need to change plans for me. Ill catch up by back tracking

Wayne,

Do you have an E.T.D. for the Friday night lap. That will be about a 4 hour lap.

My bro and I are comming down Friday, leaving Cle at 8A arrive Marietta sometime in the afternood. We planned on riding around S.E. sector untill check in.

Ray, I'll be leaving work at 10:30...probably heading down 800 from Urichsville, to 145 to 556 down to the river, up 255 to 800, 26 to Marietta.

Joe,

Maybe we can all meet up at the Micro and do the 555 loop.

Drink beer or Ride ? So many choices, so little time.

Well...Griff, Marty, and Wayne conspired to get me and the bike all back together...so I'm back IN!

Marty came over yesterday, Griff came over tonight with his tools and it got done. Wayne even was able to offer to split a room with me after I gave up mine when all seemed hopeless.

I'm almost emotional...the way guys behind the scenes offered help. Someone offered to come up from INDY (200+ miles one way) during an off work day to get 'er done. Marty came by yesterday while out making his millions to help get er done...But I would have none of it...I was convinced that I was cooked. Someone from Ohio even offered to lend me a bike if I could fly there.

When I was down...friends from this forum offered assistance. Griff finally said that he was gonna bring his tools, even if it meant tapping out some new threads for a connection. So I gave in...and he had it solved and stayed till it all got buttoned up.

THANKS GUYS. You all rock.

Now...once the battery got put in...the bike fired up...first time since October. And I admit, the bike has never sounded so bad...but I'm hoping it just needs some fierce neck wringing to blast off some shellac that the gas stabilizer didn't stabilize.

We'll see...anyways, I'm heading out Friday morning.

If we run the west loop Saturday, and first group out is at 7:30, they should arrive at the intersection of 376 and 6 (south of Zanesville) by 8:30-8:40 according to Streets and Trips. An alternate intercept point would be the intersection of OH555 and 669; S&T puts that point at 9am.

If you are in Zanesville around 8 - you could stop and check spot trackers to progress. I will have mine on, and others as well. We'll get a thread going with links.

What would be a guesstimate of when group 1 or 2 will be passing Zainsville on Saturday morning?
