I made my "black & white" comment on the top picture, posted earlier. Fred, your picture obviously has color in it...just not a very complimentary one.

I posted them both, and they are both color photos.

Totally agree Howie, they did a **** job with lighting and the photo shoot...
Looks like they changed the tank strap accents in front of the seat, from silver to black, as well as the silver on the side fairing looking at those two pics shown above.
Those are both pictures of the 2014's in the UK. Not 2015's.

... known as magnetic bronze, but looks like turd brown to me...
And goes like **** off a shovel

.

As usual with these colours, it looks much nicer in the flesh than in a picture.

One thing that has always been true, darker browns and earth colors on vehicles do not sell very well, at least not here in the US.

Most popular car colors according to most sources:

1 - White (by a landslide)

2 - Black

3 - Silver

4 - Gray

5 - Red

6 - Blue

7 - Beige

8 - Yellow

9 - Green

10 - Everything else

White is not a very good color for bikes. Not masculine enough. But I guess you can see why the FJR has been the colors that it has from the above list.

Well, Fred...I apologize (believe it or not). I simply don't see ANY color in the first photo...just varying shades of black, gray and white. Guess I can add "color perception" to the list of things that don't work for me any more.

The brown actually looks really good in the flesh. Not so much in pics.

Here... I know your eyes are old and stuff, so here I've magnified the tail section so (even) you can see all of the colors in that photo.

And no,. I didn't go back and photo-chop the red in. Look again at the original.

The rest of the photo looks to be in gray scale because it is a gray bike with black tires. No other colors are on the bike. It's for people who like the monochrome look.

Dunno exactly when the announcement will be, but the past 4 years varied between September 1 and October 2. I imagine we'll know the details of the 2014 in the next few days....unless they announce they're going back to the PDP and then I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the ensuing carnage.

2015 - ?

2014 - September 5

2013 - October 2

2012 - September 14

2011 - September 1

Meanwhile I'm squeezing in yet another column to my local version of the FJR Comparison Matrix and readying for an update.

Believe it or not, I, a red/green colorblindness poster boy, don't see a single speck of red in the blow-up. And it's not age (although that IS a problem) it's genetics. Damn my mother and her faulty X chromosome delivery!

Where is the red portion of that picture? You mentioned the tail light earlier, but all I see is nuthin'!

Ooooh... I didn't realize you were visually defective as well as mentally...

Let me he'p you out tehre , spanky... What was once red is now highlighted bloo

We're always having to adjust to the lowest common denominator around here.

I might be a little pissed if that happened, as I happen to like yellow bikes, except I already have a (2) red ones, which is still better than yellow in my books.

Radio Howie wouldn't be able to see me on either of those bikes.

Hopefully the mothership will relent and give us a two speed transfer case ala the Honda CB900/1000 series of bikes circa 80-83 with a 5 speed in front of it. The FJR will be able to go all the way to 10! Engine punched out to 1500ccs, 200hp, unlimited cruise control, HID headlamps with integrated Soltek driving lamps, 190/55 rear tire, heated Russell DayLong optional seat, power adjustable and telescoping handlebars, power extending, adjusting and auto-retracting mirrors, 4-way adjustable windscreen, 900 watt alternator, large foot sidestand, integrated comm system with radar detector, Sirius XM, GPS and bike to bike wireless support. Not asking for much....ohh, and keep the price the same...

I know that if it is either black or that dark charcoal gray color I am in. I almost hope it does not look good but I am afraid the big Honda is about to start wearing a For Sale sign.

Ignacio, don't know if you are already aware of this, but I created the European version of you USA matrix for our Dutch FJR Community. Credit to the inventor of course (as stated in the document).

The EU version can be found here: https://www.fjr-club.nl/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=477

Today I have updated MY version with the additional column for the EU version of 2015 and published this on our forum.

As soon as these are announced I will be adding US data as well...

Cheers

That is so cool! I'm not able to read much of the text, but I'm enjoying the little detail differences.

Good job!!!
