Get that sucker and trailer it home if you have the ability. That way you can follow proper 600 mile break in procedures rather than holding it at a pretty much constant rpm while riding home on the highway. Of course I don't know what the riding is like for you. You may be able to back road it home and put it through all sorts of rpm ranges. As for the guy who got a divorce, you mean that works? I can buy another bike AND get her to leave at the same time!!! 77% or not, you may have gotten the best deal.

16 FJR 1300 A .... $12299'15 FJR 1300 ES .... $12999

'16 FJR 1300 ES ... $14699

for some other deals
I bought my 2016 ES there on September 21. Great deals and worth the trip. Riding home...with a stopover in Wytheville, VA, for the EOM, was a sweet added benefit. Joe was my salesperson but they all were great to deal with. Do it! ...Don

Dealer in Chatsworth CA selling 16ES for $13,995 each. Got mine (16ES) for $13,407 after tax and license.

Zero taxes in Montana, and Lifetime Motorcycle registration is $53.25 (unless you have a dual sport and plan to ride offroad, then add $61.25)

One time, for ever..

Someday I will visit Montana to see what's up. Is it one of those states that if your not born there you will always be an outsider? NH used to be that way but not so much anymore since it got inudated with the northern progresion of us Massholes.

Crunched some numbers today and unfortunately its not in the cards right now. Wifes 2004 Taurus just turned 200k and my roof is 30 years old! Damn priorities suck. I guess i will pickup a good set of soft luggage and rock my 2000 Sprint RS for a couple more years.

I don't know... I just bought a 2015 and I love that bike! I paid $11,000 plus AZ sales tax out the door. He also gave me 4 years of YES extended warranty for $400 more. I told my wife that I would be "good to go" for five years with reliable transportation. I ride my bike everywhere -- work, weekend road trips, longer trips... I just turned over 7,000 miles. I'm almost ready for my third oil change and service (600 miles, 4,000 miles, 8,000 miles).

Now, get this: Yamaha is offering 3.99% interest for 3 years. My payment is $325 per month for just 3 years. Then, I own it. I have reliable transportation for five years and only 3 years of payments at 3.99%.

My wife told me -- "five years, good to go... yea, right... you are good to go until they come out with a red one."

She knows me so well! And she still loves me. I am a lucky man!

By the way, I did a search. I bought my bike in September 2016. Here is the full story: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/168118-2015-otd-price/page-4

Montana is a great state!! Been there four times. Folks there are in tune with all things good. Speed limit on state roads 75mph!! Great scenery, good food and damn good craft brewed beer!!! Check it out.

I figure I'll keep my 15 until an actual new model comes out, 18 or 19 maybe?

This price made no sense until it was observed that taxes, title, registration aren't included.

Even then, it's a good deal though. Why is it still available?

Meanwhile, in working a similar deal on a leftover 2015 from another marque. So ... catch the dealer in late December while he's thinking about end of year inventory tax.

My wife told me that if I bought another bike she would leave me. I bought another bike and sure enough she left me.
She also took 77% of my net worth with her.

I told my wife after I bought the bike. She was pissed but got over it.
It's always better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission :D

And then there's winter. The beeg sky might be cheap for mc registration but they make up for it with their auto registration big time!

Bet I know why you live at Bozeman and not Livingston.

That's a heck of s great price.

So .... why is it not sold?

FWIW the deal I've been working finished up today and, on a percent basis, I did as well.

''Tis the season"

From what I understand they have or had a bunch of them. Yamaha made them a deal on a batch. I ran into someone with one at "First Sunday" in Ephrata, PA in November. I'm surprised there are still some available.
