I was surprised to see charging stations in the parking garages in Gatlinburg, Knoxville and Phoenix last fall. Most had at least 8 stations and the reserved parking was right by the entrance/exit so you get exclusive parking to boot.
The technical term is EVSE, Electric Vehicle Service Equipment, not charger. Really all those L2 (Level 2) EVSEs do is provide 240V AC to the vehicle with ground fault detection and a pilot signal indicating how much current one is allowed to draw before the breaker blows. The charging smarts are on the vehicle.

Most L2 EVSE's are limited to 6 or 7 kW, which is the L2 limit of a Nissan LEAF. Fast charging with DC via CHAdeMO (its French for Charge Motion or something) a LEAF can take 50 kW. Tesla Superchargers are 120 kW. The stock EVSE which comes with the Model S is 10 kW, 240VAC on 50A circuit for 40A (80% continuous).

The problem with public L2 EVSE is "what is the point if it takes an hour for 15 miles of range?" Its OK at home where the EV will be charged by morning, but 10 miles of change while shopping for groceries? I don't bother even when its free.

Glad to see you finally got er Joe. Congradulations

Can you match your tail luggage for Christ's sake. Those blues obviously do not match. You have had the bike for at least 48 hours, Farkle the thing properly or give it to me. Freaking rookie!!

Actually jealous. Nice ride and picture!!

CJ's got a good looking bike, Pops! Agree with Cav...tailbag needs some work though.

I got a nice three hour loop today and visited that same stretch of desolate straight road!

Also installed Motovation Sliders and my PSR GP levers from my 06. Still have to install the PIAA sport horns, Centech AP1 fuse block, battery tender pigtail, power for my radar detector, and rear peg lowering brackets

Nope...I had the Motovation sliders on my 06 too. They served me well

First service done today at Snake River Yamaha. I'm glad to have that out of the way. I'm at about 780 miles, so just a couple hundred more until full break in is complete. I'll get past that next weekend.
