Looks like we'll be heading back yet again to kick off the riding season. Don't know if another SS will happen. Might swing through Evansville, IN for a stop on the way there.
Sleeping in my own bed 40 min away. Those of us that are going should try to meet up. Last year was a complete mess trying to find other FEEJERSI use the Greenup inn 8 miles down the road in Green up. Old clean strip motel, park in front of your room.

There's a package store right in the parking lot.
It was. We got a late start, the reason escapes me but when we got there the crowd was thinning out. We saw a few folks we knew but not many. Should we rendevous at the Days Inn?Sleeping in my own bed 40 min away. Those of us that are going should try to meet up. Let me do some Recon this week. I am sure we could "organize" a meet and great before we scatter back to the four winds. I finally found Airboss last year late in the afternoon. We sat and chews the fat a while. We probably don't need somewhere to eat, just s place to sit and chat...Sleeping in my own bed 40 min away. Those of us that are going should try to meet up. Maybe one of the locals can jump in here and pick a place. You're right finding the few in the herd is difficult.
Saturday after the ride to the Moonshine store might be good.
Days Inn parking lot is pretty thin Saturday afternoon, Casey city Park?
Greenup Inn has (had) a fire ring and picnic tables out back. Know that one year they had a hotdog roast for the riders.
those are questions not answers, need some one local to check it out. Cav??
Digger, We stay Saturday night and go to the chili supper at the high school. The wife's longtime bff lives nearby so we meet up with her at some point or another. A couple of years ago Alan C and I went for a ride before the chili supper so there is time between events to have our own. Anyone ever eat at Oilfield?Following this closely, since I am fairly close now I don't see the need to stay the night before. However, I do want to meet up with other FJR owners. Whether we rendevous there or I ride in with others passing by count me in. I live 1 mile off I-70 at exit 51 (Indiana). FYI, Do not buy gas at the mom and pop truck stop at this exit. There have been water issues many times in the past. Meeting up in Indy or anywhere west would be doable. I am really looking forward to this event and many more to come.
Cav, lmk when and where you two are meeting. I may ride it there is weather is good too on Sunday!Just got off the phone with RJAMT, we are going to meet up on Sunday. 2 reasons--first, to do some Recon on a place to have an informal FJR meetup after the Moonshine Run. Last year, it was tough to find the FJR peeps in the slew of bikes. (2nd is for some route planning for an Arkansas trip in a couple weeks). Probably be in a city park or similar place. I will look for a pavilion with some picnic tables. Maybe put a face with a screen name of all the hooligans that frequent here. Any suggestions on time???
I will see if I can load up a couple cases of water in the top and side cases. BlackandWhite did that one time in Indiana and it worked well. It will be before the Chili Supper put on at the H.S by the local Fire Fighters. So maybe a place to sit around until that starts. Stay tuned for details.
Tell me more about this place. Maybe that will be our lunch place.Oilfield you bet. It to is worth the trip.
