Officer Peterson was very nice, but I wasn't really in the mood to hang out with him.  Fortunately he didn't detain me very long (CHP officers must be very busy).  Does anyone know how much a violation of California Vehicle Code 22349 will cost me for 84 in a 55?  Yuck.

Seems he wrote you for 29 over - he probably didn't want to hassle with impounding your feejer - so tell us, gunmd, just how fast wuz u really going?

Well whatever the speed, I'm sure it was "reasonable and prudent for conditions."

Looks like you had a great time, we follow most of the southern route, in fact we saw 2 FJR guys ride through Borrega Springs while we finished lunch. We were luckly not to be on S2, we took S22 the salton seaway to 86, 10 and 74 into Mountain center. We had a blast, and great weather made it very pleasant. Great run guy!
