This one came out of nowhere. A friend of mine bought this 2009 FJR from a friend of his who owns a Yamaha dealership in Colorado. As I remembered he got it for 12K out the door this past June 2009. I was surfing a local website this afternoon when I came upon his post. He was selling his "new" FJR for a no haggle price of $10000 USD. 1753 miles with Cee Bailey windscreen, V-Strom handguards, powerlet outlets, etc. I had no idea when I awoke this morning that I would be buying a new FJR........but I did. I'll need to sell my perfect 2005 in the very near future to replenish my bank account! I can't believe what I've just done, but it feels right. Holy ****!!

About that perfect 05 ???

Awesome Steve!!!

Ya know, I really love  the Gen Is and particularly my 04s. In fact, I will have to have one in the garage for quite a while. But every once in a while, I catch myself thinking what it would be like to have an 09 in the garage alongside the 04s. If I was going to buy Gen II, it would be the 09.

You got a smokin deal on that thing. Guess you were on Santa's 'nice' list. Here's a big congrats heading your way buckaroo!

More piccies and comparisons needed soon........

+1 on that. The 09s are pretty hot. :clapping:

Damnation, those Holeshots looks schweet!

After 200k, three crashes, and a few drops added in for good measure, my Holeshots, well......they ain't so pretty any more. Luckily, you can't really see the JB weld repair. ;)

Well, woke up this morning and realized it wasn't a dream. I really did buy my third FJR. Thank you all for your well wishes and wisecracks comments. Next chore is to detail my 05' and get her up on the auction block. That hurts a bit as I've got nothing but good memories (and a **** load of farkles) with this bike. Guess I get to do it all over again. Can't wait! I'll post up the 05' in the very near future. Anyone interested? I'll make someone a smokin' deal.
