Why was Mayberry so peaceful?

Because----no one was married!

Here are the single people of Mayberry:

Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd (the barber), Howard,

Goober, Gomer, Sam, Ernest T. Bass, the Darlin' Family,

Helen, Thelma Lou and Clara.....all single!


In fact, the only one who was married was Otis, and he stayed drunk.
