$79 block of rooms full

...and they really did automatically reduce the rates for those booked after the first block was gone and before this news! Woot! :good:

Returned from a short vacation. Saw the news above and called today. The $79 rate was still good as of today. I'm so happy and relieved

Got my code # and called the Hilton yesterday got a room. Woman on the phone was surprised at the low cost. Thanks to all.

To my fellow procrastinators....I had reserved a room back in March after the $79 rate was exhausted for $139. I've been watching the post here as member after member got their rates lowered but I procrastinated until today however Kathrine at the other end of the 800 number was more than happy to lower my rate to the $79.

Thanks to all who have made this possible; it's going to a lot of fun.

From OC to Moto GP to Reno...can't wait.

I procrastinated (didn't know my calendar would be open so that's my excuse) but tonight I nevertheless got three nights at the Travelodge (2050 B Market St) for a total of $149.97 (add NV and Reno taxes to that). According to MS S&T it's only 0.9 miles to the Hilton...an easy walk (stumble)...as long as the local street are safe and not rampant with pimps and hos. Besides, Travelodge offers a Bear Bites continental breakfast which I'm sure

Cheapest rate was directly from www.travelodge.com, cheaper than www.triprewards.com (~$20 more, of which Travelodge is a member) and www.hotels.com (~$20 more).

Got one of the $79 rooms (smoking, two queen size beds) at the Reno Hilton (now the Grand Sierra), TODAY.
