A friend bought this 88 Ninja with a bad clutch. I'd like to help him with it but I have no experience with this bike. Anyone with information please cue me in. Is this something worth getting into. No manual available.

Try going to Kawasaki.com, click on motorcycles, then owner info, and then parts diagram. It'll show you a microfiche you can look up the cover, clutch assembly, etc. If you have any mechanical aptitude the parts manual will give you a good idea of how to do it. They also have a link to order manuals although I think a 1988 manual might be tough to come by. I owned a 1986 and 1989, and the clutch is not that tough to do. I did a starter clutch also once, you don't want to have to do that, it entails splitting the engine cases on the 1986 model.

Good Luck
