don't you think the cycle was going a little fast? It seems prudent to always assume the car will pull out and be prepared to take evasive action. In this film's case, the evasive action would probably be an emergency stop (since which way would you swerve, if you didn't know where the car was going?)...
in other words, it doesn't matter who was right or wrong when you're sprawled on the pavement.

I agree, and that set me off thinking (a dangerous pastime!).

How come this collision was filmed? Was it a REAL collision or a cleverly put together stunt? If so, the motorcyclist needed to have some speed and lack of anticipation, for dramatic effect.

Either way, it's a good publicity thing for drawing attention to riders on the road.

Holy schnikeeese! It reminds me of riding out here in DC. Of course all this would be moot if stupid people just wouldn't breathe.
