This is from CaringBridge, but I thought I'd post it here, since it's the first we've actually heard from

the gal herself.

To my amazing friends and family,

I read the Guest Book postings everyday, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your spirit, energy, and love. It has made such a difference in my healing and my attitude. I wish I had the time to respond to each of you individually to all your witticisms, wisdoms, and memories. I am overwhelmed at the outpouring of generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness, and humor.

You are an amazing community and am honored to be a part of it. I know it has been awhile since I have written as I have been dealing with surgeries, skin grafts, and rehab, which will only get more intense over the next few weeks. So I wanted to take a moment to say how my I respect all of you and love all your spirits.

Thank you for being there for me. I feel every one of your spirits and I look forward to the day when we can have a big picnic and catch up with our lives.

Be good to and take care of yourselves. Until then, I will keep you close to my heart.

With much love,

Tyler

Twas a wonderful note from Tyler and I was so happy to read it! At first, I'd thought that Old Michael had indeed snuck into her room dressed in drag in order to get a photograph of her giving him the finger. Was just wondering what dress he wore!

BTW, being as how OM was the original poster, I thought this thread was gonna be some nasty, double entendre post.

I'm glad to see he didn't resort to that...because I'm sure Tyler wouldn't want one of her threads dragged through the mud. ;)

Get better Tyler!

We're hoping you're well on your road to inevitable recovery. Keep those fingers limber...OM is counting on you. :clapping:

:)

very cool beans!

i am keeping my ear to the ground on multiple forums (here, Pashnit, BARF, etc) hoping a ride gets called to meet in the parking lot of the hospital.

it would be like a Woodstock type of thing - the San Jose Police Department would have to close a section of Bascom Ave and she'd be able to see from her room.

but first things first - and that's to continue the love, the energy and the best wishes for healing thoughts to go in her direction that she'll be better soon.

Thanks for posting the love note from Tyler, it made my day.

Tyler - You go girl! it won't be long before you make your way out of the burn ward and into recovery. :yahoo: I bet you are looking forward to the wheel chair trips out of that room. Work hard, but pace yourself, 10 weeks in that hospital bed sure will build up some fierce atrophy.

Get better soon, we still have a pie run to do. Brian and I are getting hungry!
