We all remember Jordan, Chris. Not like you and your family do, but we remember, with gratitude.

Very well said SacMike! Also with our great gratitude, thankful for Jordan's Service and Sacrifice!

God bless the Haerter family!
HRZ said it well. May God bless the Haerter family, and all of the others who have lost a loved one in the defense of their country.

I have scanned this thread a number of times, at a loss for something to say......

This comes close, but.......still, I can't imagine your loss.

:(

Hi Chris,

I am deeply saddened by yours and your Nations great loss.

On April the 25th we hold our national day of remembrance, ANZAC Day. I will think of you and your son and all those others who have suffered.

"Lest We Forget"

Best regards

Surly(Steve)

Thank you all (belated) for your kind words and thoughts. A couple of quiet pictures from a chilly, wet Sunday (the 22nd):

Chris,

Late to this thread after being out of town all weekend...

Your son's heroic act is not forgotten nor does the twinge of pain while remembering that act lessen. It only fades into the background for awhile to be brought fully to bear on the anniversary of that fateful day. :(

My best to you Chris.

I am new to the forum but wanted to express my condolences and gratitude. It is men like your son who have made it possible for my son to come home. Thank you does not begin to cover it and I am sorry seems inadequate. You will all be in my prayers from now on.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your son was and is a true hero. Words are hard to say to express what is in my heart and mind. Thank You for your sacrifice.

Semper Fi.

Came back to visit the ol' forum and

Wow, another year.

Still no words, but I think he'd be proud of what you've done for others in his memory.

I can't imagine what this feels like and looking at my 8 year old son, I sure don't ever want to know. Here is a pic of Dad's FJR, please take note of the personalized license plate. He volunteered for the Marines to avoid the Army and went to Vietnam a PFC. He returned as a Staff Seargent. Mom was pregnant with me when he left. I am so glad he came home and I got to know him.
