Perhaps the problem is inside the unit due to a stucked solenoid valve.
Here is the procedure to disassemble the valves for Gen1 unit.Probably it is the same procedure and for the Gen2.

I have never seen a successful repair of an FJR ABS unit! Don't speak the language, but you can get English subtitles. (Bookmarked for future reference)
A stuck ABS spool almost always results in (usually rear) failed ABS but brakes still work. I believe that the 2004-05 Gen ABS unit is essentially the same as the 2006-07 but with the linked right front lower piston pair in the Gen II.

hmmm,

Not sure why my update is missing, so will post again.

Got rid of the squish sound in the proportional valve by depressing the rear brake and cracking the bolts to the ABS.

Then re-ran the ABS purge and followed Ross Kean's steps with purging the lower front (throttle side) puck using the rear brake pedal. Got more bubbles than a Lawrence Welk closing number !

Finally got a decent front and rear brake but not to my liking so, tied off the front and rear brake levers over night.

So now things are ship shape. Thanks for notes, appreciate it.
