I am wanting to add the Top Gun PIAA Brackets from FJR Goodies on my FJR but I'm curious how some of you ran the wiring thru the bodywork. Any pictures or descriptions would be greatly appreciated.

When I originally installed a set of Hella FF50 halogen lights I drilled the 1/2" holes in the picture below. (Ignore the cut for a second) I fitted the holes with grometts and then was able to fish the leads from the lights through the hole.

Phase 2 I bought some Hella FF200 HID lights and the option of feeding the line through the holes was impossible because of line ends. So, I cut the slots you see and squeezed them through.

To me, that was the biggy.

I also have a bigger description of the HID install by clicking here or even better by clicking here that includes more pictures of routing and cuts.

Grommet Boy's install wins over the Hackanator's! :p
Hackanator scored his Hella FF200 HIDs for $310 off eBay while you all were snoozing! Since most other saps are paying $600 plus for comparable eyes of Godness--I can stand a couple of character cuts in my long-distance steed and live with the older generation lights.

I have slots also. Makes for easier removal and install of the panels, as my connectors are inside the body work. No grommets, just heatshrink for abrasion protection. They're just hack-or-ific!!

Just so happens... Through the B and C pannels and using a small grommet to protect the wires as they pass through the hole in the plastic. Then wrap spiral loom around the exposed wires between the light case and the body pannel.

Brackets are finally being ordered. Any comments on the PIAA 1100 X Platinum lights ? I was also wondering if it would be better to mount on top or below the bracket ?
