Well,

As of 2 weeks ago, I found the fjr I was looking for. The owner of my company had one and I didn't even know it! Its a 2006 A with only 213 miles! hah He bought it and never rode it (he's very short and it's too tall for him). I couldn't pass up this bike, so i pulled the trigger and bought it. Taking the plates off of my uncomfortable 600r after 5 years and 20K miles never felt so good. I just wanted to drop a note here as I haven't been around in VERY long time. Back in the saddle again, I love this bike. Now I can actually get out of bed on a saturday and consider riding 2.5 hours without worring if i will be able to stand after the ride. My wife even wants to go for rides now... ;) A few of my friends and I are going to do the coast to coast ride by the time I'm 35 so hopefully 2 years from now I'll be diving in the Pacific! Happy laobr day all and I'll see you in the board.

:clapping: Welcome to the forum!! :clapping:

This sounds like a very successful assimilation to the collective....

There is much to say about a more relaxed riding position! AND, that your wife-unit wants to join you is a bonus. In my area, probably 50% of the group rides 2-up. Its a good thing!

There is a vast amount of information here. Be sure and familiarize ourself with all of the divisions and headings . You might want to check these links, Regional Ride Planning & Information Exchange (Including Sightings) Subforums and FJR Meetings Subforums, for things happening in your area.

Enjoy the ride and the adventures.

Hello Brad,

Welcome to the fold. Your patience will pay off. Just remember to set up your turns a little earlier than you're used to on your YZF as the FJR weighs about twice as much and takes longer to scrub off speed.

You're about 40 mins or so from me, if you need any help or just want to go for a ride, ping me here or PM me.

Robert

Welcome Brad,

As already mentioned, check out the local rides pages for some upcoming rides. (Anything by Randy or Russell Fleming is guaranteed to be stellar).

Enjoy the new steed.
