I'm surprised they didn't move it sooner - I mean, what's in Florida other than old people and Vic??

Seriously thought - seems like a logical move to put the show within reach of a larger population of the market - the press release said that Columbus puts them within 500 miles of 41% of US power sports dealerships. Columbus does seem a little north and west, but works for me because it's only 4 hours away!!

Which BLOWS.
Don't I know it! I wrote something on their Facebook page, expressing my displeasure. Not that it'll do any good.
I hope Ohio has an early snowfall next year… This is the sunshine state !

It won't last in Columbus OR they will change the event dates.

For anyone that went last year - what bikes did Yamaha have on hand to demo??
Last year Yamaha showed the '15 FJR, usually they have the V-Max on display. I think there was a Super T. (Anniversary Yellow edition) Yamaha always

has their Cruisers well represented.

Kawasaki stole the show (IMO) Most of their bikes were black highlighted with that eye catching green.

Clearwater lights have been represented, Givi… I do not expect the '17 FJR to be there this year… but I will be there!

They're supposedly showing the new R6. Most of Yamaha's lineup is there for demos.

Wayne, it might be a time crunch for you, as this is quoted from them

" The Greater Columbus Convention Center (GCCC) will open its doors to hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of dealer and consumer attendees next September 21-24, 2017 for the landmark fifth year of the event.".

I saw that.

If I'm involved with EOM in 2017, it will need to be worked around these dates.

You guys planning a lunch or dinner RTE for the 15th?

We don't get snow until December. November at the earliest. Sometimes not even until January. September is a GREAT month to ride in Ohio. Colors are beautiful and temperatures are fantastic. :)

I might be mistaken, but I think Julie just volunteered to host EOM in Ohio next year...

Good idea! I'll bring some Gran Añejo to help her make it through the weekend!

Now now now. Calm down. Cart in front of the horse there. Volunteering would be making the suggestion that EOM gets moved to SEOhio on that SAME weekend, so people can take a short trip up to shop/browse on Saturday or Sunday. But that's just crazy talk....

Lets get these plans finalized, I am looking forward to this !
Doors open at 9:00a, Marie and I should be there before 10:00a. We could pick a time to meet up, say, at the Yamaha booth? We have all day, so if there's a RTE, we could make that too...as long as it isn't breakfast.

Breakfast at 3:30 am at the IHOP !

Just messin' with ya. See you at the Yamaha Booth if no one is interested in a breakfast meet-up.

Hopefully I will be 2-up with the wife

Speaking of planning, AIMExpo has a free app click here , that gives a map of both concourses and vendor area. Also, there's a list of all venders, and it will show on the map where they are, and exactly where you are. You can choose favorites beforehand, so you won't forget them.

Also, I saw where Deals Gap will give out lifetime 10% discounts to all of their products, if you wear a shirt of theirs to the Expo, and visit their booth.

I'm hoping we'll have the weather we're having this weekend!

i was gonna print the floor plan… but then i would have to bring a magnifying glass

Well guys, I hate to do this, but I have to make a run up to Michigan this weekend.

The storm really messed up my plans, so need to do it this weekend instead. We JUST got power back after how many hrs? It feels like a week, but think it's been 4 days or so.

I do have a couple of tickets if anyone needs them.

Sorry to hear that Jim, but you gotta do, what you gotta do.

Safe travels. :good:
