FlightAware only tracks aircraft on IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) aircraft, No VFR (Visual Flight Rules) flight plans, and law enforcement aircraft on surveillance NEVER file flight plans of ANY kind.

Trust me, I know.
I show up on it when I use flight following.
I know you can show up if you were in the Center Database as IFR, but I've not seen a

strictly VFR flight plan in there before.

Good to know, I stand corrected.

Thank you for the good informative information, I see them a lot on hwy 167

I don't think they can pace you on 167, because I don't remember seeing any perpendicular painted lines that they would need to time your speed. I have seen those lines in Eastern WA and remember them from when I lived in FL.

You could wear camo gear and paint your helmet and bike camo. Just a thought....now I wonder where they'll be around the last weekend of July.....PM. <><

If you're hiding from airborne observers, don't you want to wear grey?

Just stumbled across this topic. I got popped by the CHP for crossing a DY. Spotted from the air. Sure makes a fella paranoid.
Did you take it to court? Both the LEO who spotted you from the air and the LEO who pulled you over have to show up to testify. One of them misses the court date - you go home smiling.

In Washington, Officer's do not have to show up to court if you're fighting a ticket. Thier testimony is submitted via an Affidavit.

The exception is if you subpeona the Officer(s), which rarely happens just FYI.
