Some of you wanted to see the money pit, well, here ya go:

This was "as she was" when I got her home. My dad had new floor boards and rockers put in and the car painted about 17 years ago. ( you can see my ex in the back ground, the best I've ever had ) :dribble:

Then I desided that I had a better idea. I cut out the engine bay, welded in some frame rails and installed a mustang ll front end from TCI & Heidts.

Then I droped in a .30 over 302 with all the right stuff for 340hp & 350fpt ( says the engine shop )

As you can see, these rims have a large positive offset, they will be swapped later. ( they are hitting the upper control arms when turned )

I don't have my rear end narrowed yet, ( for the car! ) There will be a 8.8 trac lock w/ 3.27 or 3.55 gears ( have'nt decided yet )

I didn't see a reason for nestalgia of an original gas tank so I flush mounted a 16 gal fuel cell in the trunk.

I may opt for the 3.27 gear because I think it may be a hand full to keep straight with the 3.55 gears. Well there you have it, another frivolous use of money, but last time I checked, we can't take it with us!

Thanks again for all your support and understanding, be safe out there!

Good power choice, what are you going to use for a for a gear box?

I always thought it would be cool to do a TR4.

Thanks for sharing and have fun with it.

Sorry, I forgot about the tranny. I know I may get made fun of for this, but it's a C-4 from TCI. I know a manual would have been more fun, but my wife "may" want to drive it once or twice and others that have done this have had some difficulties with the throw out bearings leaking.

Any-who, thanks for the interest and I'll let everyone know when this thing rolls out of the garage under it's own power.

Dan

P.S. this engine only weighs 80 lbs. more than the inline four that came in it. ( maybe someday a set of alluminum heads will be droped off by Santa! )

BTW, it will weigh approx. 2400 lbs.
