My group from Texas bailed last week; no interest in riding in the rain. Keep the rubber side down!

After predicting rain for Friday and not getting any and Saturday had no rain predicted but it did rain all morning we still got the Oark General Store 224 mile run completed in the afternoon. That damn burger is probably robbing me of 18 months of my lifespan but it was so good.

426 miles today. First 60 miles all in the rain but we rode into the direction it was coming so we could ride the roads behind it. Worked out ok. A little rain here and there but a nice ride. Too bad the pigtail 123 is shut down due to being washed out. Had lunch at magazine mountain lodge. Leaving there on 309 south ran into a guy who had just crashed his SV650 and had a badly broken femur laying in the ditch. Got him moved and stabilized as his riding buddies were in shock and didn't know what to do. A little military training there helped me out. Those things always stick around in your mind for a while but our group of four had a pretty good cruise back up 7 from there. Looks like we will be dodging t-storms each of our next 3 days riding here.

Exactly where is the pigtail? We rode a lot ot 123 and didn't notice a washout. There was a washout on 23.

Preston an I were at the side of road where 23 was closed at 16, trying to decide which way to go when a big BMW LT comes up the road from the south on 23. He said the wash out is nothing, there are no workmen there, just ride across it. We said great and headed south to go to the Orak Cafe. The wash out was just another country road to me, no worse then some other parts of 23.

Nice. Sorry I had them confused yes 123 was open and it was great. So many other great roads I didn't miss 23. Heading back to MN tomorrow morning. Almost 1400 miles and a mostly used up rear tire. Saw a handful of FJR's on the roads while here.

It was a great weekend of riding in the Ozarks. Didn't see another FJR other than the ones belonging to me and Preston.

Now I'm sitting in Scottsdale Arizona and tomorrow will head to SW-FOG in Cedar City Utah.

TS - you are living large, for sure. Ride on, my friend.

If those roads are ridden like they should be, they just flat out eat tires. Last month while we were up there, I scraped off 1/2 a rear tire in about 1500 miles also.

I wore through 3/4 of a brand new rear tire in 1350 miles. Good times!

125 in Missouri was a real fun road too even though it was a bit wet.

I've not ridden 125 on the Mizz side, but it certainly looks worthy. Did ya'll take the ferry back and forth to get there? I also hear Hwy 160 in Mizz is a good ride.

One of these days I'll get to Arkansas. But I highly doubt I'll ever cover ground quite as quickly as you did in that video Matt. That was fun to watch. I caught myself holding my breath on a couple of those curvy stretches.
