BUT...... over the years there have been a few who weren't just fine. They developed bleeding in the brain, hours after the event. With sophisticated monitoring equipment and experience, we were able to identify these kids and get them off to surgery. Thanks to skilled surgeons, the kids all turned out pretty much OK.

thats some scarry stuff SP. My sone fell off one of those push-powered turntables they used to have on every playground. Just a 2 foot fall. but he has all the nausea lethergy confusion slurred speech. Lucky we had an ER Doc at the park with us that day and he kept an eye on him.

You could gather and compile info on wrecks and such and just not use someone's name and personal info. Problem solved. PM. <>< :D

Howdy Gang!

Thought I'd bore you w/ an update on how the old, fat rascal's doing. Still a fair ammount of "discomfort" when coughing, or laughing hard, but much, much better than a week or two ago. I can actually get up, move around, go to the store or video store for short trips. Still can't sleep on my bed, use the recliner. Can't stand for much more than 30-45 min. Never was into TV before, couldn't give a !@#$ if I see it again now. A good friend believes he can buff out the scratches and dings in my gurl. Think I'll be back to work, limited duty, about Oct 8th, or so. In short, life is getting better.

Thanks again for all your well wishes and prayers!

Great to hear that the healing is coming on well. This crap just takes time. If I could fast-forward that clock for you, I would. What can you say, except that broke ribs suck. Heck, it was the first week of June when I went down. I still have the aches, pains, and limitations that came with it. I can pretty much do what I need to do, but if I push it I pay. I can ride, though, so the rest can just wait.

Glad to hear yer on the mend...

...if I was bigger and badder...and lived out there near you...I would volunteer to kick the crap out the yer ride leader who sat there taking photos while you were in misery...or atleast asked him, "WTF are you thinking?!!! ... help the poor man!"

Anyways, glad yer doin' better...recovery takes time Mr. Clampett. say "Hi" to Mr. Drysdale for me, will ya?
